While the US Military has been focusing primarily on responding to the COVID-19 crisis specifically in the military, the Australian Military has been tasked with helping on the homefront. They concluded the Operation Bushfire Assist operation and will be tasked with duties related to the Coronavirus.

Reservists have been called up to help with the crisis. The role for the reservists will be ongoing, and the personnel will be assigned according to their postal code in order to assist. All reservists were contacted to provide assistance regardless of their job status.

Additionally, the Army has been tasked with providing patrols to ensure that local populations, businesses and homes, are complying with local restrictions.
